## Reduce your carbon footprint

### Our Reusable Pallet Wrap products are designed to meet the challenges of the single-use plastic packaging cost.

Using a good quality Reusable wrapping solution enhances the likelihood of your delivered product arriving in good condition.  The wrong packaging can damage product, risking rejection and profit as well as reputation.

Reducing the use of single use plastic, reduces the chances of plastic pollution, and reduces the quantity of waste going to landfill.

## How we helped Unipart Logistics and McLaren become more sustainable

> ***“We approached  Cargowise in September 2020 regarding our Unipart/McLaren contract with a view to limiting our single use plastic .  Previously we had tried by reducing the micron thickness and/or reducing the number of wraps on a pallet.***
>
> ***We operate a closed loop process with the client so the wraps are returned daily for re-use.  We use them for the ‘square pallets’ that have no overhang.  They will most certainly reduce the shrinkwrap used.***
>
> ***From a Unipart point of view we are very pleased with the product.”***

## Reducing the use of single use plastics

As responsible organisations look to find ways to reduce the huge amounts of single use plastic entering our waste streams on a daily basis, they are increasingly turning to our robust reusable pallet wraps and load protection covers for sustainable ways to stabilise palletised shipments.

The** reusable palletwraps** are designed to be reused **1500** **times** giving an excellent return on investment.

The NYLON fabric is very strong and has a **TENSILE STRENGTH** of **6776 Newtons. **This is roughly equivalent to the force of 700 kilos suspended.

**Load capacity** is around 1800 kilos.

We offer a **5-year guarantee** for our reusable palletwraps, reusable pallet bands and reusable pallet straps. If any of these products fails during normal use within 5 years of purchase, then we will replace the faulty items free of charge.

(Terms & Conditions apply)

## An Alternative to pallet stretch wrap film

**Benefits of Cargowraps:**

- Reducing your company's plastic waste footprint
- Reducing pallet wrapping time
- Reducing risk of repetitive strain injuries including back injuries
- Consistent and guaranteed load stability. Cargowraps are up 10 times stronger than palletwrap film
- Reduced long term pallet stability costs

## POSSIBLE COST & WASTE REDUCTIONS

If the cost of stretch wrapping an average sized pallet is between £0.50 to £0.75 GBP and you multiply this by 1500 uses, using this wrap could save palletwrapping costs of between £750.00 and £1,125.00 GBP over its lifetime.

Maybe more importantly, assuming the weight of an average stretchfilm wrap per average sized pallet is 300grams, multiply this by 1500 uses, theoretically 450 kilos of single use plastic could be saved.

## Reusable pallet wrap information

CargoWrap are typically constructed from **Nylon fabric ** with a weight of **175 grams per square metre** with Nylon and PP straps, the hook and loop material is Nylon and the reinforcing material is UPVC. There is a link to a Certificate of Analysis which gives the TENSILE and TEAR strengths along with PUNCTURE resistance.

There is a choice of securing the straps with hook and loop, or stainless steel metal buckles, and bottom grips are an optional extra to secure the wraps to the pallet giving extra stability.

We can supply these wraps for both STANDARD and EURO sized pallets, and for different heights of loads. We also supply straps and bands up to 460mm (18 inches) wide.

If you have a bespoke requirement we can manufacture these to order subject to minimum order quantities. Document pouches can be included, and we can include your branding and colour coding options.

## Storage and transport of the Reusable palletwraps

When the wraps are not in use, they need to be moved and stored safely.

We recommend the use of transport cages as the wraps can be stored safely when being returned to base after use, and the wraps can be moved around a warehouse easily and safely in  a cage to locations where they are needed.
